Local Events Grants

Ukraine is more than just Kyiv. Ukraine is all the cities, towns, and villages out there in the regions. To keep the professional cultural scene thriving there—even in the midst of a full-scale invasion—we have launched the Local Events Grants.
These grants support cultural events outside the largest cities, Kyiv and Lviv. Host music festivals, urban workshops, media forums, photography exhibitions, and other events long awaited by local communities. We will cover most of the costs and ensure your team is fairly paid for its hard work.
Follow us on social media or subscribe to our newsletter to be the first to hear about the open call.
This is for a universe of worthy ideas
We support events that make an impact. Reflect upon the preservation of cultural heritage, decolonisation, digitalisation, media literacy, environmental sustainability, equal opportunities, or national minorities. In the form of a week-long festival or a two-day workshop? That is up to you.
This is for events open to all
Art is for everyone. Make your events free of charge to give everyone, from university freshmen to retired seniors, the chance to join.
This is for multiplying opportunities in your city
The EU has already believed in your idea. Now let us make sure even more people in your town get the chance to launch start-ups, explore new trends and bring their projects to life with EU support. How? We will explain during a short House of Europe presentation at the event.
This is for well-known festivals—both established and emerging
We are looking both for well-known annual festivals and brand-new events. The key is a skilled and dedicated team with the drive to organise a large-scale event during the war.
This is for national minorities’ self-expression
We want Ukraine’s national minorities to have the space and resources to share their culture. That’s why we’ve created a dedicated open call just for them.
This is for you!
