Individual Project Grants in the field of culture and creative industries

Sector: Culture and creative industries
Type: Grant
Location: Ukraine and online
Deadline: 02 December 2024 at 15:00 Kyiv time
Organiser: House of Europe

This grant offers up to EUR 4,000 on your personal project with the involvement of the EU or the UK.

We will support you in participating in a well-known creativity competition, carrying out a digital photo exhibition featuring works by artists from Ukraine and the EU, or creating a zine on Ukrainian illustration in cooperation with a small publishing house from the UK. These are only a few examples of thousands of initiatives that can be your personal project.

Join the live stream on Facebook on 13 November at 15.00 to learn about the pitfalls and ask questions to the grant managers.

Study the application guidelines, apply, and carry out the project you have cherished for a long time.

What is a personal project?
  • A project to become a professional challenge for you. Get experience in project management, new skills, and acquaintances.
  • A brand-new project. It is not one of the everyday tasks you work on.
  • A project involving the EU or the UK. Learn from European colleagues, present your ideas, and promote Ukraine abroad.
  • A project that drives you. A course, internship, networking, launch of a new project led and thousands of other initiatives.
What topic can I choose for my project?

You can choose any topic you find fascinating and relevant for Ukraine, but we are most excited about projects that address the following:

  • European visibility for Ukrainian art and cultural projects
  • Decolonisation of cultural institutions and artistic projects
  • Preservation and restoration of cultural heritage
  • Exchange on decentralised cultural policies in Ukraine and the EU and UK
Can I apply?

We invite managers, curators, experts, researchers, cultural entrepreneurs, artists, architects, landscape architects, urban planners, and representatives of creative disciplines.

If you work in the fields of music, literature, theatre, dance, cinema, design, fashion, museum, art market, cultural heritage, archives, restoration and conservation, visual arts and photography, audiovisual arts, crafts, sculpture, media arts, and conceptual art, feel free to apply.

What do I need to apply?
  • An engaging and thought-out project
  • A budget for the project drafted in our template
  • CV
  • A private entrepreneur status or a partner — an organisation that can assume the legal issues
  • Proof that your partner organisation from the EU or UK is ready to collaborate: registration confirmation, a letter from a speaker, etc.
How do I apply?

Carefully read the application guidelines and fill in the application form on our online platform.

In the application guidelines you will learn more about the project format, the involvement of an expert or an organisation from the EU, and the hints that will help you win the grant.

Good to know
  • Please complete all the planning, implementation, and reporting by the end of June 2025.
  • You cannot apply if you received an individual project grant from House of Europe in 2024.
  • If you work with the topic of national minorities, apply for a separate open call.
